Parks renovation contract for Maidstone Borough Council 2006

This unique contract covers the design and build of landscape and civil engineering works to improve more than twenty parks and open spaces in the Maidstone area. Won against stiff competition from larger national contractors, Ashkent was awarded the project because of the completely open nature of our proposals and by clearly demonstrating the ways in which true partnering would work to add value whilst delivering a first class service in the most cost effective way.

The scope of works includes the master planning of Penenden Heath which is a major public open space of great historical importance to the Borough. Supply chain design partner Lloyd Bore Associates was brought into the team at tender stage to provide the required landscape design expertise and they are currently working on a number of the parks to produce designs for future works.

Encompassing works that range from the repair and resurfacing of a the towns tennis courts to the construction of several car parks, Ashkent Landscaping is providing a complete range of landscape and associated services on this contract.
